Subaru has launched a new series of Prodrive Performance Packs (PPP) for the 2006 model year Impreza 2.5 WRX, WRX STI, spec.D, and the new Forester 2.5 XT. The packs feature reprogrammed ECUs, a high-flow catalytic converter, a sports exhaust silencer and, in the case of the Impreza WRX STI.
This Impreza WRX benefits from the dealer-fitted Prodrive Performance Pack. Comprising a recalibrated engine management system, a high-flow intercooler hose and a stainless-steel exhaust silencer, this boosts the car's power output from to 221bhp to 261bhp and increases maximum torque by 16% to an impressive 257ft lb.
Impreza 2.5 WRX With Prodrive Performance Pack The new Impreza 2.5 WRX with PPP produces 266 bhp at 5,700 rpm and a massive 310 lb-ft of torque at only 3,000 rpm - an increase of 74 lb-ft at 600 rpm lower. The result is a 0-60 mph time reduced from 5.9 to 5.3 seconds and 0-100 time of 13.9 instead of 14.4 seconds.
